Today is Wednesday and on Wednesdays I have the day off from my second job. I have a big day planned today. Working the first job 4am to 8:30am. Then I’ll head over to Jamba Juice for a shot of wheatgrass juice (see earlier blog on benefits of wheatgrass). I’ll get some oatmeal while I’m there to take home to my daughter so she can eat it in the car while I drive her to school. (On Wednesdays, oatmeal is only $1 so I will probably get one for myself as well).
Then I have an appointment with a personal trainer at my gym to see about customizing a workout program for me. About 10 years ago I was on a weightlifting regimen based on “Body For Life” but I started having arthritis pain in my shoulders and developed bone spurs that were like sharp, pointy growths on top of my shoulders. Yikes! At the time, my doctor just told me to stop working out. I did, and the pain stopped though the spurs remain. I am anxious to see what this trainer will suggest for me.
